Claydate LA is excited to partner with the Motor Association in their community event space at 3300 Motor Ave, at the corner of Motor & National. Together we provide an inclusive and supportive place to create and make meaningful connections.

The Motor Avenue Improvement Association (MAIA) works to improve the quality of life in the Palms community by advocating for neighborhood interests and delivering impactful community programs. MAIA produces and supports a wide range of community initiatives, including the Motor Avenue Farmers Market and Community Garden Program (nearly 20 years strong), Yappy Hours, Wine and Poetry Nights, Compost Club, BikeFest (5,000+ attendees), the Palms Community Weekend Carnival (100,000+ attendees), Homeless Services, Health and Wellness Programs, and more!

Thank you to our community partner and event sponsor, Cold Brew Lou, along with microbakery Sobremesa for supporting our event!

Cold Brew Lou (CBL) brings the art of coffee to life with a focus on quality, creativity, and community. Founded at the Motor Avenue Farmers Market, CBL proudly serves cold brew and espresso beverages, using locally roasted single origin coffee beans.

CBL believes coffee is more than just a beverage, it's an experience. That’s why they take the time to connect with customers, share their passion for great coffee, and create a welcoming space. By sourcing locally and focusing on sustainable practices, they not only support local roasters and farmers, but also ensure every cup they serve is fresh, flavorful, and responsibly made.

A huge thank you to CBL for sponsoring Claydate LA’s Valentine’s Event with delicious cold brew coffee and homemade artisanal syrups.

Sobremesa

Sobremesa Culinary Services is the one-woman show of Kat Hacthoun. “Sobremesa” is Spanish for the time spent after a good meal where you sit and talk with your companions and digest together–digest the conversation and the food you’ve been enjoying. Kat’s cooking is intended to evoke the sobremesa of satiation, joy, and pause.

Sobremesa microbakery’s dessert menu is fueled by nostalgia, bridging Kat’s personal histories in New York, Cuba, and California. All of the pastries she’s developed are born out of deep, unending, food love, memories, and most likely very long sobremesas.

We are excited to feature one of Sobremesa’s signature desserts, masa real, a Cuban guava cake. Thank you Kat!
